APRIL 2023
“There is Room in God’s Family”
CHURCH UPDATES
April has come and gone and we are already through May. Still, I thought it would be good to get this out so that you can join us in celebrating all that God has done for and through us in just one short month.
First, this year’s Easter outreach was larger than ever, with over 600 people registering for the our annual Easter egg hunt! Our property at Liberti NE was packed that day with young families, children, volunteers and smiles as far as the eye could see. Saturday April 8th, we handed out fun filled eggs to children as well as thousands of pounds of food to people in the neighborhood who needed it. That day people didn’t just hear the good news of Jesus — they got a glimpse of what it looks like to be in His kingdom family. Mouths were fed and hearts were filled with cheer. On Easter morning Laura and I attended a sunrise service with believers from all walks of the faith in Bristol. From Catholic to Quaker the people of God came together to celebrate the Risen Christ. If you have the chance, join us for this unique experience next year! What made the day even more special were the two baptisms at Liberti NE that day!
One week after Easter I had the opportunity to visit and speak at Liberti Collingswood. It was my second time there and it was a joy to see some familiar faces from the Communion and experience the warm welcome that being a part of a church family can bring.
Finishing off the month, a crew from the Liberti Communion took to the sky as we traveled to visit our brothers at Frontline Church in Oklahoma City. It’s a trip we take each year but this one was special. This year Frontline invited families from all over the country and the globe! Thirty five churches and three countries were represented at this three day gathering. We got to hear and share what God has been up to. It was life giving to worship as a global church, pray as a united people, speak as peers and coworkers for Christ, and grow as leaders and men of God. Also, OKC has some good eats. I highly recommend making a visit.
April was a bit hectic pulling off a large event, traveling to speak, and taking a week to visit the guys in OKC. But it was a stretch of weeks that reminded me how big God’s family is. At the same time, my heart’s passion and burden for Bristol grew as I was reminded just how much more room there is for others to enter in. There is room in God’s family because there are people who are not there yet.
Would you pray for us that Liberti Bristol would grow to become the kind of local church that always recognizes the room that God has made for others to come and find rest in him? And would you pray for Bristol that the people to the borough would have eyes to see and ears to hear the invitation that Christ has given them to come, taste and see that the Lord is good?
PERSONAL UPDATES
April had me traveling all over while Laura was wrapping up at work before entering maternity leave. Our baby girl is due May 20th (any minute now) so Laura spent time adding the finishing touches to the nursery and getting us ready for the wild ride that is about to begin! In between all the travel I joined her in the efforts to get the house ready by continuing work on other aspects of the home and property, making sure the house was child safe, and all major projects were out of the way. Houses are a lot of work; who knew!
April also had us sending our RV back out on the road for rental season. Last year we bought an RV & dove in with short term rentals. In the process we learned a great deal; including how much work it can be! This year we are thankful to have hired help and we are looking forward to seeing what this year will have for us there. Hey! While we are on the subject, if you are looking for a unique way to support us and our church planting journey, why not consider going on a vacation! If that sounds interesting to you, check out our rig here and maybe even book it for a weekend or a week. We would love to host you!
Would you continue to pray for us as we prepare for a newborn & a new church? And would you consider supporting us both with your presence and financial provisions? We can’t do it without you.

Liberti will be a church in the heart of Bristol with a heart for Bristol — who seeks to live, speak and serve as the very presence of Jesus to our neighbors there.
PRAYER
Would you commit to including Liberti Bristol in your prayers? Would you pray for softened hearts? Would you pray that God would open doors and opportunities for us to be ambassadors for His kingdom? That we would have eyes to see opportunity and the willingness to pursue it — even when it’s difficult?
PRESENCE
We desperately need your prayers, but we also need your presence! Liberti Bristol needs mission-minded people like you; willing to do the work and take the risks to participate with God in the expansion of His kingdom! If you'd like to consider joining our launch team, then I invite you to stop by our house on a Wednesday night. Every Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:30PM, our team comes together as a family — adults and children — for a time of fellowship and prayer. Come meet us and see if this is where you belong!
PROVISION
And finally, provision. Listen, we believe that God will provide for that which He has ordained. Liberti Bristol isn't a project of our own, but rather it's our effort to be obedient to God's call on our lives and to be his ambassadors and priests, declaring the good news of God's Kingdom; inviting others to repentance and to come and see that He is good. And so, we believe that God will provide for us. But we believe He'll do it through people like you! Would you consider being a part of God's provision to us? Be it a monthly, annual or even a one-time donation? We need your help to make Liberti Bristol the church that this neighborhood needs it to be!
