“Now And Not Yet…”

For Christians, it’s this great theological tension: that we already possess every spiritual blessing in Christ, and yet we don’t experience the fullness of them yet. And I think that’s a tension that we are feeling acutely right now.

In one sense, the church we set out to plant is here! And I couldn’t be more excited to be making this announcement. Fall of 2024, myself with a team of people will be launching a new church; Liberti Bristol! And God has already blessed us with a location and a core team. In another sense, we are still just a seed, not yet breaking through the soil to see the light of day.

There's still a lot to do before we open our doors for our first service. We aren’t there yet. BUT LISTEN, that doesn't mean that we can’t be there now, in Bristol. In fact, we already are! Myself, and many on our launch team are already finding ways to plug into the life of the community. Whether it's jobs in the borough, living in the township, getting to know business owners or participating with other local non-profits, we have been busy!

In January, our team designed and printed door tags for a borough-wide food drive where multiple churches participated. We were able to put one of these tags on every door in the borough. That’s around 4000 houses! And for myself and my team; this was really our first formal opportunity to be serving together in the neighborhood. That day, we went door to door, praying for each house on our portion of the map while we put tags on the doors of the people we were there to reach.

The work has begun. We are here now but it's just the beginning! And thus I'm making the announcement; “Liberti Bristol is here now, and not yet.” And with this announcement, I also want to extend the invitation to join us. Join our team! We need mission-minded people to launch and to sustain. We need people who understand that worship is something that happens beyond Sunday mornings. People who value community, being a part of the family of God, and the willingness to invite others in. We need people of mercy. We need people who understand that we’re never more like Christ than in the midst of service. We Need You.

Partner With US

Liberti will be a church in the heart of Bristol with a heart for Bristol — who seeks to live, speak and serve as a very presence of Jesus to our neighbors there.

As we push through the tension of the “now and not yet”, there's three main ways I would love for you to be involved. That's Prayer, Presence, and Provision.

PRAYER

Would you commit to including Liberti Bristol in your prayers? Would you pray for softened hearts? Would you pray that God would open doors and opportunities for us to be ambassadors of His kingdom? That we would have eyes to see opportunity and the willingness to pursue it — even when it’s difficult.

PRESENCE

We desperately need your prayers, but we also need your presence! Liberti Bristol needs mission-minded people like you; willing to do the work and take the risks to participate with God in the expansion of His kingdom! If you'd like to consider joining our launch team, then I invite you to stop by our house on a Wednesday night. Every Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:30PM, our team comes together as a family — adults and children — for a time of fellowship and prayer. Come meet us and see if this is where you belong!

PROVISION

And finally, provision. Listen, we believe that God will provide for that which He has ordained. Liberti Bristol isn't a project of our own, but rather it's our effort to be obedient to God's call on our lives and to be his ambassadors and priests, declaring the good news of God's Kingdom; inviting others to repentance and to come and see that He is good.

And so, we believe that God will provide for us. But we believe He'll do it through people like you! Would you consider being a part of God's provision to us?
