JUNE 2023
“It’s Official!”
CHURCH UPDATES
This June, Liberti Bristol has made some excellent steps forward. Thanks to the help of a new contact, Liberti Bristol has offically registered with the state as a legal entity and we have applied for our 501-C3 status as a religious non-profit. So it’s really happening! Liberti Bristol is officially official! But it is still in its early days. The church, is 'still in the womb’ so to speak and there is much to be done in preparation. As of now, we have had discussions with two local churches about the potential to rent or use their space. Both conversations were extremely encouraging and our next steps will be spending a great deal of time in prayer and consideration.
This month we’ve also had some new faces at our home meeting. I’m hopeful that we will see our ranks begin to grow as we become increasingly focused and vocal about our mission to live, speak and serve as the presence of Jesus in Bristol.
One way we sought to do so this month was by hosting a vendor tent at the Bristol Sunday Stroll event. There we represented not just Liberti Bristol, but all the churches of the Borough. With the help of the Minsiterium, representatives from multiple local churches came together to pray, talk with, and survey the families of Bristol throughout the day. Great conversations took place. The gospel was presented and displayed as our people played games with children, encouraged parents and hopefully, turned some strangers into friends. This event happens monthly through the summer and into the fall. Pray for God’s favor as we represent his family there and consider coming to visit as well!
PERSONAL UPDATES
Parenthood is new to us. Laura and I still have so much to figure out. And Brynn is handful! In June we discovered that our daughter has both a tongue and lip tie which make it hard for her to eat properly. Adding to that, it is very likely that she has some allergies that we need to figure out. The challenges she has make for a very colicky baby and for very tired parents. During this first month, we have been working hard to discover how best we can help little Brynn. It has been hard to see her in discomfort and it is hard not to be discouraged. However, we are confident that this season will pass, that God is at work, and that his plans are for our good. We know He loves Brynn more than we do.
Plus, we know we are not alone! So many people have reached out with encouragement, brought us meals, and just loved us. We couldn’t be more grateful. So thank you! Many of you who read these letters are the people I am talking about.
Overall, while Laura and I certainly feel overwhelmed in this moment, we are simultaneously overwhelmed by the generosity, and care we have been shown.

Partner With Us
Liberti is a church in the heart of Bristol with a heart for Bristol — who seeks to live, speak and serve as the very presence of Jesus to our neighbors there.
PRAYER
Would you commit to including Liberti Bristol in your prayers? Would you pray for softened hearts? Would you pray that God would open doors and opportunities for us to be ambassadors for His kingdom? That we would have eyes to see opportunity and the willingness to pursue it — even when it’s difficult?
THIS MONTH
Be in prayer that we would be able to lock in a space and that more visitors would join us.
Be in prayer that supporters like you would partner with us to support what God is doing here.
Be in prayer for Laura and myself, and for Brynn — that we would be able to find her the help she so desperately needs.
PRESENCE
We desperately need your prayers, but we also need your presence! Liberti Bristol needs mission-minded people like you; willing to do the work and take the risks to participate with God in the expansion of His kingdom! If you'd like to consider joining our launch team, then I invite you to stop by our house on a Wednesday night. Every Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:30PM, our team comes together as a family — adults and children — for a time of fellowship and prayer. Come meet us and see if this is where you belong!
PROVISION
And finally, provision. Listen, we believe that God will provide for that which He has ordained. Liberti Bristol isn't a project of our own, but rather it's our effort to be obedient to God's call on our lives and to be his ambassadors and priests, declaring the good news of God's Kingdom; inviting others to repentance and to come and see that He is good. And so, we believe that God will provide for us. But we believe He'll do it through people like you! Would you consider being a part of God's provision to us? Be it a monthly, annual or even a one-time donation? We need your help to make Liberti Bristol the church that this neighborhood needs it to be!
